| Term | Explanation |

| Nova | The whole thing. |
| Nova Core / Nova Framework | The "website builder" parts of Nova. The underlying architecture. Note: Some people will say Core, some will say Framework. It's the same thing, we're working on standardizing verbiage. |
| Nova Brand | The example/demo Nova brand. Functionally the same as any PMC brand. |
| Nova brands | The PMC brands currently on Nova (including the Nova example brand). |
| Nova Component | The entire contents of a component library component. Includes the styles, schema, data, etc. Not to be confused with a React component. |
| Nova Token | An SCSS/CSS variable used consistently across brands to simplify style adoption. |
| Brand Token | Token for a brand (ex. color or font family). |
| Component Token | Token for a component (ex. spacing or border color). |
